The NATO Counter Improvised Explosive Devices Center of Excellence (C-IED COE) in collaboration with the National Police has organized the 4th Interagency Seminar (IAWS2018) between October the 22nd and the 24th in Canillas ESP CNP premises. The seminar under the title "Who paid the bomb? Analysis of the financing of terrorist groups" has aimed to bring together military experts, police and other civil agencies to discuss how criminal organizations obtain the necessary funding to perpetrate their illegal activities. this workshop responds to the strategy of information exchange in a global manner as key in the prevention of terrorism. The purpose of the IAWS 2018 seminar was to share approaches in the fight against the risk posed by terrorist organizations that promote and use improvised explosive devices. To this end, an analysis was made of the current and future situation of the terrorist threat; The financing methods used by these groups, as well as the initiatives that are proposed as possible options to prevent these financing actions. The Seminar has had the participation of representatives of the Armed Forces, Intelligence and Information Services and National Policies of various countries, the Civil Guard, la Joint IED Defeat Organization de USA, The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, the University of Alicante, MoneyGram, the Intelligence centre counter Terrorism and Organized Crime of Ministry of Interior, (CITCO), the Joint United States Commands for Africa and the Asia Area -Pacific, EUROPOL, INTERPOL and the World Customs Organization (WCO).
