From 27 to 30 April, the C-IED COE hosted a series of in-person meetings on Technical Exploitation, Battlefield Evidence and Biometrics.
The C-IED COE offered to host this meeting in support of NATO Headquarters International Staff. Sessions included plenary meetings of the NATO Technical Exploitation Group (NTEG) and NATO Battlefield Evidence Working Group (NBEWG), as well as meetings of their subgroups: NTEG Martial Vision and NBEWG Data Tiger Team. A plenary session of the NATO Biometrics Programme Coordination Group (NBPCG) was also included.
The event gathered 85 attendees from 19 NATO nations, Allied nations and NATO entities, such as NATO HQ, SHAPE, NCIA, SOFCOM, JFC Naples, JFC Brunssum and NATO MND-N, as well as NATO-accredited Centres of Excellence, specialized in several areas: C-IED, HUMINT, Stability Policing and Military Police.
These meetings have strengthened the coordination between specialized communities, allowing them to share operative and technical knowledge and to better understand the challenges related to technical exploitation, battlefield evidence and biometrics in joint and multidomain scenarios.
