The C-IED COE organized and ran a new edition of the Weapons Intelligence Team Training Developer Course (WIT TDC) at its facilities in Hoyo de Manzanares.

This training was inaugurated by the deputy director of the C-IED COE, US Colonel Christopher Bartos. The course brought together 15 students from nine NATO nations and partner countries, with classes taught by both COE staff and external lecturers.

The aim of the course was to train and update course directors and instructors in WIT, with both theoretical and practical aspects through master classes, interactive lectures, case studies, guided discussions and problem-based learning.

During the theoretical part, students were provided with an update on skills and standards related to the subject, new techniques and procedures were shared, and existing doctrine was reviewed. In the practical part, a series of fictitious scenarios related to WIT were created, allowing students to apply the knowledge they had acquired.

In conclusion, those responsible for WIT training at NATO and allied nations are now better prepared to develop and lead the courses under their responsibility, thanks to the updated information on Technical Exploitation related to C-IED warfare that they received during this week.
