Combined Annual Discipline Conference

The Annual Discipline Conference (ADC) plays a critical role in supporting the sustainment and development of the discipline within NATO’s Education and Training (E&T) framework. This key event brings together stakeholders from MILENG, ENSEC and C-IED to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the current E&T Programme, including both individual and collective training solutions used to meet NATO’s evolving E&T Requirements.

The primary objective of the ADC is to ensure the E&T Programme remains responsive to changing operational needs, emerging technologies, and available resources. As the coordination hub for training solutions within the discipline, the Department Head (DH) is responsible for organizing and leading this annual forum.

During the conference, the Requirements Authority (RA) provides updates on any modifications or developments in NATO E&T Requirements. In turn, the DH presents an overview of actions taken or planned in response to these changes, fostering a collaborative approach to maintaining alignment between training initiatives and strategic objectives.

The agenda for CADC 2025 was:

  • Global Programming Update Latest Developments, Status and Way Ahead.
  • COE’s mission and prioritization of activities for the future.
  • NATO COE DAP 2024 (review and update).
  • C-IED/MILENG/ENSEC requirements review and update, SGE / CT&E Directive status and development.
  • Individual / Collective Training Opportunities and Solutions.
