C-IED Training Iraq 2017

The NATO Science for Peace and Security programme (SPS), along with the C-IED developed and delivered a Train the Trainers course for iraquĆ­ military and policemen.

NATO Counter-IED  courses  in Iraq  are helping  to train the iraquĆ­ security forces to clear  IEDs  from towns and villages.

We used to talk about car boms, and now we talk about bicycle. motorbicycle, cars, trucks and lorrys being used as IEDs. Vehicle borne IEDs are the most common IEDs currently being used in Iraq. 

 27 trainees, 7 instructors from three countries.
